Current position: Associate Professor, Department of Geosciences, Environment and Territory Planning, Faculty of Sciences of University of Porto (FCUP), since 2012
Director of the Geophysical Institute of the University of Porto since 2010.
Scientific Interests: Study of the emplacement of granite bodies using the measurements of “Anisotropy of Magnetic Susceptibility”, gravimetry anomalies and macro and microstructures patterns and the Variscan granites genesis and associated mineralizations in the Iberian segment.
Other interests: Structural geology, Geophysics (namely gravimetry and magnetometry) and magnetism of geological materials.
